Bali Architect - Jeghier Architect - Villa Design

Bali Architect - Jeghier Architect - Villa Design

As an architect, my approach to design is a meticulous blend of creativity and functionality. Each project I undertake is an opportunity to craft spaces that not only reflect the aesthetic aspirations of my clients but also seamlessly integrate with the surrounding environment.

My design process begins with a thorough understanding of the client's vision, preferences, and the unique characteristics of the site. I believe that a successful design is not just visually appealing but also enhances the overall user experience. To achieve this, I engage in comprehensive research, considering elements such as natural light, spatial flow, and sustainability.

Collaboration is at the heart of my methodology. I work closely with clients to ensure that their needs and desires are not only heard but translated into tangible design elements. Through open communication, I strive to create spaces that resonate with the occupants on a personal level.

In addition to aesthetics, I prioritize functionality and efficiency in my designs. I believe that architecture should not only be visually striking but also enhance the daily lives of those who inhabit the spaces. Sustainability is a key consideration, and I incorporate eco-friendly practices and materials whenever possible.

Sketching and conceptualization play a pivotal role in my design process. I often begin with hand-drawn sketches to quickly capture ideas and explore various possibilities. These initial sketches serve as the foundation for more detailed digital renderings and ultimately guide the construction phase.

I find inspiration in the interplay of form, light, and materials. Whether it's a commercial villa, private residence, or a sprawling estate, my goal is to create spaces that leave a lasting impression while meeting the functional needs of the users.

In essence, my role as an architect goes beyond designing structures; it involves curating experiences and shaping environments that enhance the quality of life for those who interact with them.

PURPOSE : RETREAT AND SPORT CENTRE | AREA : 55,000 SQM | LOCATION : PEMUTERAN BEACH, SINGARAJA, BALI - INDONESIA | YEAR : 2019

Bali is renowned for its diverse and breathtaking beach landscapes. Therefore, for those visiting the island of Bali, it's essential to know which beaches are suitable for vacation and offer exceptional beauty.

Jeghier Architect was commissioned by the client to provide public facilities for basketball and table tennis enthusiasts. Our client, an avid fan of table tennis and basketball, also requested facilities for families comprising several generations, including children and grandchildren, totaling more than 80 individuals.

These facilities are primarily designed for retreats and villas, exclusively for families. Meanwhile, the sports facilities are intended for public use, with a specific focus on advancing table tennis in Bali.

Pemuteran Singaraja is a beach characterized by its sloping terrain and a serene atmosphere. The beach has sparkling black sand that extends into the land, forming a bay-like shape. The shoreline stretches for 6 km against a backdrop of hills dominated by coconut and palm trees. Visitors can immerse themselves in a peaceful atmosphere, enjoying the gentle sea breeze, far from pollution. The sound of waves lapping the shore adds to the tranquil ambiance, and the white sand provides a soothing escape for every visitor.

The Jeghier Architect team was also tasked with designing a private jetty for their ships, often brought to Bali from Singapore. Designing an integrated jetty with the building and all supporting facilities posed a unique challenge for us.

The tourist area is a preferred destination for meditation, attracting mainly retired individuals who appreciate tranquility. Visitors can bask in the peaceful beach atmosphere and engage in meditation within their rooms or by visiting Hindu prayer sites like Paru Pulaki and Pura Melanting.

Moreover, the underwater scenery boasts coral reefs and thousands of fish species, with 80% of Indonesia's coral varieties present in this area. The beach received recognition from SKAL, a global underwater tourism organization, in November 2003 for its enchanting underwater beauty.
